My name is Dhruva and I'm a recent graduate from Carnegie Mellon University. I was born in India, grew up in Singapore and moved to Pittsburgh for college. I'm based in San Francisco now, where I'm trying to build something interesting as a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First.

I've had an unconventional path to tech, having transitioned my academic interests from Physics to Decision Science to Finance and (hopefully finally) Computing. I typed my first line of code at the age of 21 and somehow still graduated with a degree in Information Systems. So really it's proof that you can do it too.

I've always been a creative at heart. Barring the time I spent in school trying to convince my folks that I'd get a respectable job ^{(I think it worked?!)}, I spent hours hidden away in the recesses of my mind, learning how to take photos, draft short films and string together random notes in the hopes of someday fulfilling my street photographer turned Stanley Kubrick SoundCloud rapper ambitions.

The time I spent immersing myself in these imparted an appreciation for the stories we carry with us and the ones we choose to share with the world. They're what constitute our values and our unique identities as people. In the spirit of honoring that tradition, I archive my opinions, thoughts and memories here on this site.
